There are times when my husband and I feel we are the only Christian Canadians who are aware of our increasingly rapid descent into Socialism.

I'm so happy to have stumbled upon your blog!! All your topics so far have been right on. (I laughed for a solid five minutes when you described wanting to ram into the sign "Who will speak for the children?"!)

Blessings to your family!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7581174262958607180.post-45547097939376845222011-08-08T07:54:47.494-07:002011-08-08T07:54:47.494-07:00The socialist approach only serves to provide a sh...The socialist approach only serves to provide a short term, quick fix for poverty in a country...eventually the entire country becomes impoverished. One only needs to look at the state of Europe for that example. As Margaret Thatcher once said, "the problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other people's money."

Oh, and I would prefer to pay for my healthcare as opposed to the system that is in place in Canada. To take my opinion on socialism and denote that I 'hate' my country is a huge assumption and an untrue one. How is that a bad thing? I don't understand you. Especially considering the poverty rate is alarmingly high in U.S. which isn't a welfare state (and welfare is something which you obviously detest but don't detest enough b/c you are still living in Canada). I guess the free health care isn't so bad after all?Becca Boonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7581174262958607180.post-47854030311278114352011-08-04T18:54:23.008-07:002011-08-04T18:54:23.008-07:00Great summary of the philosophy behind socialism. ...Great summary of the philosophy behind socialism. I think we are all, sadly, headed in that direction.
